Who is Rob Luft

Rob Luft (b. c. 1993) is an English jazz guitarist and composer from London, working across jazz, jazz fusion and contemporary jazz. His playing combines melodic improvisation with a modern compositional approach, and he has become a regular presence on the British and European jazz scenes. As a leader, he has released three albums on the British label Edition Records: Riser (2017), Life Is the Dancer (2020) and Dahab Days (2023). His wider discography includes the collaborative recording O'Higgins & Luft Play Monk & Trane (2019), the releases Lost Ships (2020), A Time to Remember (2023) and As Time Passes (2024), and the forthcoming Reaching for the Moon (2026). His guitar work also appears on recordings issued by the German label ECM Records, including John Surman's 2024 album Words Unspoken. His music is available through major streaming and download platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, and further information can be found via his official website and social media channels.
