Courtney Pine (born circa 1964) is a British jazz musician known for his work across contemporary jazz. He plays saxophone, bass clarinet, clarinet and voice. Pine first gained attention with his 1986 debut album *Journey to the Urge Within*, followed by *Angel Heart* (1987) and *The Vision's Tale* (1989). His discography spans several decades, including *Closer to Home* (1990), *Devotion* (2003), *Song (The Ballad Book)* (2015) and *Spirituality* (2022). A further release, *Out Of The Ghetto: A Modern-Day Jazz Story*, is scheduled for 2026.
