Who is Mark Hummel

Mark Hummel (born c. 1955) is an American blues harmonica player, vocalist and songwriter, best known as the long-standing bandleader of the Blues Survivors. Although most often associated with West Coast blues, his playing also draws on Delta blues, Chicago blues, swing and jazz styles. Since 1991, Hummel has produced and performed in the Blues Harmonica Blowout tour, which has featured harmonica players including James Cotton, Carey Bell, John Mayall and Charlie Musselwhite. His recorded output spans several decades and includes Hard Lovin 1990s (1992), Feel Like Rockin' (1994), Blowin' My Horn (2004), Ain't Easy No More (2006), Mark Hummel's Blues Harmonica Blowouts (2008), Unplugged – Back Porch Music (2010) and Golden State Lone Star Blues Revue (2016).
