Samara Joy

Samara Joy is an American jazz vocalist whose career has risen rapidly since she won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2019. Recognised as Best New Artist by *Jazz Times* in 2021, she performs exclusively as a singer, working within a straight-ahead jazz tradition that draws on classic repertoire and standards. Her recorded output includes studio albums and live performances, with releases available across major streaming platforms. Born in 1999, Joy has built a public profile through consistent touring and a strong digital presence, including official channels on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, and Discogs. Her social media activity spans Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, where she shares performance clips and updates. While her discography is modest in size, her vocal phrasing and command of ballads and swing have drawn attention within the UK and international jazz circuits. Further details on her work can be found via her official website and Wikipedia entry.
