Cookie Policy

The short version
Until you answer the banner, nothing is loaded and nothing is measured. Our server never sets a cookie of its own. If you accept, Google Analytics is loaded and sets its cookies; if you also accept marketing, an advertising script is loaded too. If you refuse, or simply ignore the banner, neither is ever fetched.
1. Our server sets no cookies
Pages served from clubgre2jazz.com/ca/ return noSet-Cookie header, and nothing on the site writesdocument.cookie directly. Everything we keep on your device is in your browser's local storage, listed in section 3. That is not sent to us with your requests, so we cannot read it and it cannot follow you to another site.
2. What the banner actually controls
The banner starts in refuse. In technical terms we use Google Consent Mode v2 with analytics_storage,ad_storage, ad_user_data andad_personalization all set to denied before anything runs. Two things are behind it:

One thing worth knowing: the analytics property we use for Canada is the same one used for our British and French editions. Traffic from all three sits in one Google Analytics property. We are saying so because you cannot tell from the outside.
3. What is written in your browser
These are the local storage keys this site actually uses. None of them contains a name, an email address or a tracking identifier.

To remove all of it, clear site data for clubgre2jazz.com in your browser settings. Nothing stops working; the banner will simply ask again.
4. Changing your mind
Clearing site data resets the banner. Refusing after having accepted stops anything further from loading on your next page view; cookies already set by Google are removed by clearing site data as above.
5. Three things that are not cookies
- Pictures, a player and a map from other companies.Musician and concert pages show album artwork from Deezerand Apple Music, photographs fromWikimedia Commons, the artist player fromSpotify, and map tiles from CARTO andOpenStreetMap. We set no cookie for any of that, but your browser fetches those files from their servers directly, so they see your IP address and which page you are on. It happens whatever you answer here, because it is how the page is built. Separately, theStay22 accommodation map waits for your click, or for you to accept marketing, before it loads at all.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps the usual web server logs — IP address, time, page requested — to run the service and investigate abuse. That happens whatever you answer, because it is how a web server works.
- The search box. It submits as a normal link, so whatever you type appears in the address bar and therefore in those logs. Worth knowing before you type something you would rather not leave behind.
6. Links to other sites
Concert pages link out to venues, ticketing platforms and shops. Those are other companies with their own cookies and policies. This page only covers clubgre2jazz.com/ca/.
