Cuong Vu

Cuong Vu is a US jazz trumpeter whose work is tagged jazz, jazz fusion and contemporary jazz. His documented releases include Bound and Pure (both 2000), Transition Sonic (2004), It's Mostly Residual (2005), Vu-Tet (2007), Gagarin (2009), Ballet - The Music of Michael Gibbs (2017) and Change In The Air (2018). Vu was a member of the Pat Metheny Group, and through that work he won the Best Contemporary Jazz Album award twice. He is also documented as the first American person of Vietnamese descent to win a Grammy Award.
