Los Pirañas

Los Pirañas are a Colombian trio whose sound draws on psychedelic rock and several cumbia traditions, a blend they have described as “tropicanibalismo.” Their music typically features electric guitar, bass and drums, with a raw, percussive energy that pushes regional rhythms into experimental territory. The group has released five albums to date, beginning with *Toma Tu Jabón Kapax* (2012) and continuing through *La diversión que hacía falta en mi país* (2015), *Historia natural* (2019), *Infame Golpazo en Keroxen* (2021) and *Una Oportunidad más de triunfar en la vida* (2025). Their work is widely available across streaming and digital platforms, including Bandcamp, Spotify and YouTube.
