Terri Lyne Carrington

Terri Lyne Carrington (born c. 1965) is an American jazz drummer, singer and composer whose work spans post-bop, jazz fusion, contemporary jazz and R&B. She performs on drum kit, percussion and vocals, and has built a career as both a bandleader and recording artist. Her discography includes the early releases Quintessence (1987) and the live recording The Truth – Live at Montmartre (1988), followed by Structure (2004) and For the Rhythm (2005). Later projects include The Mosaic Project (2011), Money Jungle: Provocative in Blue (2013) and the concert album Live at Müpa (2013). Her announced release Trip the Night Fantastic is scheduled for 2026. Her music is available through major streaming and retail platforms, including Spotify, Bandcamp, Deezer, Tidal and SoundCloud, and she maintains an official website alongside profiles on MusicBrainz, Discogs and social media channels.
