Who is Terence Blanchard

Terence Blanchard is a jazz trumpeter and composer from the United States, born around 1962. Primarily a trumpeter, he also plays piano. His work spans jazz performance, composition, arranging, conducting and film scoring; he is also active as a bandleader and university teacher. Blanchard has written two operas and more than 80 film and television scores. His original scores for BlacKkKlansman (2018) and Da 5 Bloods (2020), both directed by frequent collaborator Spike Lee, received Academy Award nominations for Original Score.
