Selwyn Birchwood

Selwyn Birchwood is an American blues guitarist, vocalist and songwriter from Tampa, Florida. He performs on electric guitar and electric lap steel guitar, and his live sets feature his original songs. His blues draws on classic Chicago blues, Southern soul and boogie. His releases include FL Boy (2011), Don't Call No Ambulance (2014), Pick Your Poison (2017), Living in a Burning House (2020), Exorcist (2023), Old School (2024) and Electric Swamp Funkin’ Blues (2026). In 2013 he won the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge and was named Albert King Guitarist of the Year at the same event.
