Who is Pearl Django
Pearl Django is an American jazz group formed in 1994 in Tacoma, Washington, by guitarists Neil Andersson and Dudley Hill and bassist David "Pope" Firman. The group combines the music of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli with American swing, working in the tradition of gypsy jazz and classic swing-era repertoire.
Originally a trio, the ensemble has changed and expanded its line-up over the years and now performs as a quintet. Based in Seattle, Pearl Django has played throughout the United States and has also appeared in France and Iceland. The group's recordings are documented on Discogs, and further information is available through its Wikipedia entry and official Facebook page.
