Who is Matt Wilson

Matt Wilson is an American drummer and bandleader whose work spans jazz, post-bop and free jazz. He has released a series of albums under his own name, including *New York Meeting* (1998), *Arts and Crafts* (2001) and *Loose* (2016). His 2017 release *Honey and Salt* drew on the poetry of Carl Sandburg, while *Good Trouble* (2024) is among his more recent studio recordings. Wilson has also issued live material such as *Out In PA.* (1999) and *Quite Live in Brooklyn* (2016), as well as the family-oriented *WeBop: A Family Jazz Party* (2012).
