Mark Guiliana

Mark Guiliana (born around 1980) is an American drummer, composer and bandleader based in the United States. He leads the band Beat Music and has also recorded and performed with his own projects, including Heernt and the Mark Guiliana Jazz Quartet. His playing on the drum kit moves between jazz and electronic-influenced music, a combination reflected in both his group work and his releases as a leader. As a collaborator, Guiliana has worked with a wide range of artists, including Avishai Cohen, Brad Mehldau, David Bowie, Meshell Ndegeocello, Gretchen Parlato, Jason Lindner, Lionel Loueke, Dhafer Youssef, Tigran Hamasyan, Matisyahu, St. Vincent and the European piano trio Phronesis.
