Malika Zarra

Malika Zarra is a Moroccan singer, composer and music producer based in Paris. Her work sits at the meeting point of jazz and world music, drawing on the languages and traditions of her background: she performs in Moroccan Arabic, Berber, French and English, moving fluidly between them across a broad stylistic range. Voice is her primary instrument, and her recordings place it at the centre of arrangements that blend jazz structures with North African musical influences. Her discography includes On The Ebony Road (2006), Berber Taxi (2011) and RWA (The Essence) (2023), releases that trace the development of her sound over nearly two decades. Alongside recording, she works as a composer and producer, shaping projects that reflect her cross-cultural approach to jazz. Zarra maintains an active presence across major platforms, including her official website, Spotify, Discogs, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, where listeners can follow her releases and performances. Her catalogue is also documented on MusicBrainz and Wikipedia, providing further detail on her recorded output and career.
