Who is Lenny White

Lenny White (born c. 1949) is an American drummer whose work spans jazz, jazz fusion, jazz-funk and contemporary jazz. He is best known for his playing with Chick Corea's group Return to Forever, one of the defining ensembles of the fusion era, and has maintained a long career as both a bandleader and a collaborator. His recorded output as a leader includes the albums Venusian Summer (1975), Best of Friends (1979) and Just Like Dreamin' (1981). Later projects reflect his range across the jazz spectrum: Acoustic Masters II (1994), the live recording Dreyfus Night in Paris (2003), a Tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire (2004), Hancock Island: The Music of Herbie Hancock (2008) and Echoes of an Era 2: The Concert (2013). His catalogue and performances can be explored through his official website, Wikipedia and MusicBrainz entries, as well as on Facebook, Spotify, Deezer and Discogs.
