Christie Dashiell

Christie Dashiell is an American jazz singer born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Greenville, North Carolina. She studied jazz voice at Howard University before completing graduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music, and later took part in an artist-in-residence programme at the Mansion at Strathmore. Her work centres on jazz vocal performance, and she has received two Grammy nominations. Alongside her performing career, Dashiell teaches jazz voice at Howard University.
