Who is Chico Freeman
Chico Freeman is a US modern jazz tenor saxophonist and trumpeter. He began recording as a lead artist in 1976 with Morning Prayer. His albums include Kings of Mali (1977), Beyond the Rain (1978), Tradition in Transition (1982), The Search (1983), Tangents (1984), Tales of Ellington (1987), Salutes the Saxophone (1992) and Threshold (1992). The Outside Within received Stereo Review's Record of the Year in 1981. In 1979 he won the New York Jazz Award.
