Arts for Art describes itself as a New York non-profit dedicated to multicultural improvised creative arts, and Vision Festival is its flagship program. The music sits in the free jazz and creative-music lineage - William Parker, Joe Morris, Craig Taborn, Tomeka Reid and Ingrid Laubrock have all appeared in recent editions - and each year the festival gives a Lifetime Achievement Award to a musician from that scene.

The 2026 edition, Vision 30, ran in late June under the theme "Art to Resist", with concerts at Abrons Arts Center and a parallel film program at Anthology Film Archives on 2nd Avenue. Joe Morris received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The festival is one of the few in the region whose programming is defined by a specific aesthetic rather than by a headline market.
