The festival is produced by Suncoast Classic Jazz Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and runs November 20 to 22, 2026 for its 36th edition. Everything happens inside the Sheraton Sand Key Resort, where three rooms run in parallel for more than 75 sets across the weekend, with space set aside for dancing as well as listening.
The programming leans on early jazz in the New Orleans manner, American Songbook material, swing and modern acoustic jazz, with Brazilian, blues, rockabilly and gospel sets filling out the edges. Youth bands are a fixed part of the bill: the 2026 edition includes the Osceola County School for the Arts Jazz Band A and the Tarpon Springs Jazz Ensemble, both Essentially Ellington competitors. Headliners include the John Pizzarelli Trio and Anat Cohen.
