The festival is produced by the Jazz Club of Sarasota, a membership-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1980, and the 2026 edition runs March 9 to 14. Main-stage concerts are staged at the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium, with cabaret programming at the Court Cabaret at Florida Studio Theatre. Trumpeter Terell Stafford serves as music director.
The distinctive element is the Trolley Pub Crawl, which spreads live sets across twelve downtown Sarasota venues on a single evening and links them by trolley, turning the whole downtown into the festival site for one night. The 2026 bill includes the Terell Stafford Quintet, the Arturo Sandoval Band, the John Pizzarelli Trio playing a Tony Bennett tribute, a Cal Tjader tribute led by Sammy Figueroa, and the Florida All State High School Jazz Band.
