Exit Zero Jazz Festival takes over the Victorian seaside town of Cape May, New Jersey, twice a year - once in spring, once in autumn - with a mainstage at Cape May Convention Hall plus outdoor stages, bars and clubs around town.

The festival is run by the Cape May Jazz Festival Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3), and takes its name from the southern terminus of the Garden State Parkway. Running two editions a year is unusual for a jazz festival of this size and reflects the town's shoulder-season tourism: May and late October fall either side of the Jersey Shore summer.
The programming leans toward New Orleans and Latin traditions alongside straight-ahead jazz - second-line parades through the historic streets and Brazilian drum blocos are recurring features - and includes "Conversations with Artists" sessions hosted by public radio station WRTI plus student band performances. The autumn 2026 edition ran October 23-25; the next spring edition is announced for May 14-16, 2027.
