The festival is run by the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and takes place October 15 to 18, 2026. It uses several stages at once, including the Tampa Bay Times Stage, the VSPC Plaza Stage and the Surfside Pier Party Stage, with ticketing tiered from general admission up to reserved VIP seating.

The booking policy is deliberately wide. Alongside straight-ahead and big band jazz the program takes in smooth and progressive jazz, funk, soul, blues and Americana roots rock, which puts it at the commercial end of the Florida festival circuit rather than the repertory end occupied by the Suncoast festival down the beach.
