Founded in 2010, the festival reached its 15th edition in 2026. Over its run it has presented close to a hundred recording and touring artists drawn from the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and Canada, which is unusual reach for a festival of its size and reflects an organizing model built on a single site and a long day rather than a wide venue network.
Music runs from midday to around 10pm on both days on the waterfront at Maritime Park. The bill mixes Boston-area professionals with visiting artists; the 2026 edition included Bonnie Johnson, Jim Braxton, the Groovallottos, Charu Suri, Kristolis Sotomayor and City Strings. Since Berklee ended its long-running Beantown Jazz Festival, this is the city's principal standalone jazz festival.
