Guy Davis

Guy Davis (born c. 1952) is an American blues and folk musician whose work draws on the acoustic traditions of the American South. A singer and multi-instrumentalist, he performs on guitar, banjo and keyboards, and has also worked as an actor. His music sits within the country blues and folk-blues idiom, combining original material with interpretations of older songs. His recording career spans three decades, beginning with Stomp Down Rider (1995) and followed by Call Down the Thunder (1996), You Don't Know My Mind (1998) and Butt Naked Free (2000). Later releases include On Air (2007), Juba Dance (2013), Kokomo Kidd (2015) and The Legend of Sugarbelly (2024).
