Programmed in partnership with the music charity Serious, the Gateshead International Jazz Festival concentrates a large festival programme within Norman Foster's landmark riverside building, with multiple stages from the main concert halls to the open concourse. It presents major international headliners alongside UK artists and North East talent.

Since the venue’s 2023 rebrand from Sage Gateshead to The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, the festival continues as one of the anchor events of the building’s calendar.
